Kind of weird to have the message "For rapid updates on Windows sniffwave/sniffring must flush on write." come up and stay up as the only thing on the screen for an inactive ring I'm looking at. The ring is ALARM_RING in Earlybird, and I guess there are no alarms, so nothing is there.
Maybe instead: "Waiting for data from this ring, none yet received. (For rapid updates on Windows sniffwave/sniffring must flush on write, this is true of versions of sniffwave/sniffring built after 9/24/09.)"
On Linux, I see twice:
For rapid updates please install the pexpect library on the server.
For rapid updates please install the pexpect library on the server.
I see that even if there's data... So maybe it could say "For more rapid updates please install the pexpect library on the server, or use a version of sniffwave/sniffring built after 9/24/09."
It would be nice to be able to choose to not see this message again for a particular server.
